Tool inputs

Toolkit Shelf does not require an account to use its calculators and tools. Tool inputs are processed in your browser unless a page clearly says otherwise.

Avoid entering sensitive personal information, private account numbers, medical records, or confidential business data into tools unless the page specifically explains why that information is needed.

Saved and recently used tools

Toolkit Shelf can store the page slugs of tools you save or recently open in your browser's local storage. This accountless feature does not store tool inputs, calculation results, notes, or other personal information.

Saved and recently used tools remain on that browser and are not synced to Toolkit Shelf servers. You can clear either list from the tool directory or remove the site's local storage through your browser settings.

Analytics and performance

Approved public entry pages use free Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate visits, page views, referrers, countries, device and browser types, and loading performance. Cloudflare states that the service does not use cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting to identify visitors and does not log query strings.

Automatic single-page navigation tracking is disabled. API, embed, and download routes are excluded from this website-analytics service. The operator views aggregate traffic in a private portfolio dashboard; tool inputs, saved-tool lists, calculation results, and cross-product identities are not joined to that report. Hosting and security logs are separate.

Embedded widget usage

The shopping package comparison, meeting cost, and manual review widgets can send anonymous counts for an embedded view and its first valid input edit. The separate counter stores only the UTC day, widget name, load count, and input-edit count. It does not receive calculator inputs, results, cookies, visitor identifiers, or referring URLs. Cloudflare hosts the counter and processes necessary network metadata separately from those stored counts.

Counts are best-effort observations, not unique people or proof of customer use. Direct widget visits and known own-site, local, and preview frames are excluded. Missing referring context does not establish an external publisher. Reports cover up to 90 UTC days and are available only in the operator's private dashboard.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable these counts. You can choose Turn off usage counts in an eligible widget's footer for that view. Publishers can add analytics=offto the iframe URL to disable counts for the installation. Examples, Reset example, and Clear inputs are not input edits. Calculator inputs and results stay in your browser.

Cookies and advertising

If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, device identifiers, IP-derived location, or similar technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to Toolkit Shelf or other websites, measure ads, prevent fraud, limit repeated ads, and personalize or contextualize advertising where allowed by law.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies to serve ads. Browser settings, device settings, ad partner controls, and opt-out tools such as AboutAds may let you limit cookies, reset advertising identifiers, or opt out of some personalized advertising. Blocking cookies may affect ads, analytics, or embedded third-party features.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Toolkit Shelf uses Google Privacy & Messaging or another Google-certified consent management platform to request consent before serving personalized ads where consent is required.

Contact email

If you email Toolkit Shelf, the message may include your email address, the page URL, inputs you chose to share, screenshots, and any source or correction notes you provide. That information is used to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the site.

Third-party links

Toolkit Shelf may link to source references, government pages, documentation, advertisers, or other third-party websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices.
